Red sparks first

Ordinary tic-tac-toe, reskinned as a circuit board. Three in a row completes it.

How it plays

Standard tic-tac-toe rules, just wired up to look like a board. Red always has first spark on game one, then it alternates.

Placing a mark

Tap any empty square to drop your team's mark. Red plays a spark, Blue plays a node. Turns alternate until someone lines up three.

Completing the circuit

Three marks in a row, column, or diagonal lights up the connecting trace and ends the game in that team's favour.

Board's full, no line

Nine squares filled with no run of three is a draw — happens a lot once you're both playing well. No penalty either way.

Bench Bot

Three levels. Rookie makes real mistakes, Tech plays solidly but slips occasionally, and Bench Boss plays perfectly — the best you can do against it is a draw.

Switch modes and pass the device — the turn pill and banner between rounds tell you whose spark it is.

First move

Set who opens each new game: always Red, always Blue, or let it alternate automatically so nobody's stuck going second all night.
