The things people ask me most. Don't see your question? Just get in touch — I'm happy to help.

It depends on the problem, but because I run a small shop with low overhead, my prices are among the lowest in London. I'll always diagnose the issue and give you an honest, upfront price before any work begins — so there are never any surprises on the bill.
I offer same-day turnaround on most computers. Some repairs — like ordering a specific part or a deep data recovery — can take longer, but I'll always give you a realistic timeframe up front and keep you updated along the way.
Yes! If you can't make the trip to my shop, I offer mobile support on most repairs, with same-day service if needed. A mobile fee applies to cover the trip. One exception: in most cases I'm unable to build custom PCs on a mobile visit — but I'm happy to build it in my shop and deliver it to you if needed. Just let me know.
I'm based at 2 Piers Crescent in London, Ontario, and I serve London and the surrounding area. I'm available seven days a week, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. It's best to call or message ahead so I can make sure I'm ready for you.
Just me, Shane — start to finish. There are no ticket numbers and no handoffs. The person who diagnoses your computer is the same person who repairs it and hands it back. It makes for a smoother, more personal, and more accountable experience.
Your privacy and your files are treated with care. For any repair that could affect your data — like a Windows reinstall — I'll talk you through it first and, where possible, back up or preserve your files. If you have important data, let me know up front and we'll make protecting it the priority.
I treat every computer with care, but I want to be upfront: electronics — especially older or already-failing ones — can be unpredictable. A hard drive that was already on its way out, a brittle plastic clip, or an aging part can give out during an otherwise routine repair. That can happen to anyone working on it, and it isn't the result of anything done wrong. If I ever run into something like that, I'll stop and talk it through with you honestly before going any further. I'll always be straight with you — but please understand the risk, anything at any time can fail and isn't something any technician can fully rule out.
Often, yes. I recover photos, documents and files from accidental deletion and formatted drives. Recovery success depends on the condition of the drive, so I'll assess it honestly and tell you what's realistically possible before charging for the work. Tip: stop using a drive the moment you delete a file or suspect the drive is failing.
I specialize in Windows desktops and laptops — repairs, upgrades, tune-ups, virus removal, data recovery and custom builds. If it runs Windows, there's a very good chance I can help.
Yes — cracked or broken screens on Windows laptops are a common fix for me. I'll confirm the exact panel your laptop needs, order it in, usually takes a day and swap it out once it arrives. Send me the make and model and I'll get you a price.
No — to keep my turnaround fast and quality high, I focus only on Windows PCs. I don't repair Apple / Mac products, Chromebooks, cell phones or tablets. If you're unsure whether your device qualifies, just ask and I'll happily point you in the right direction.
Absolutely. Whether it's a gaming rig, a work station or a budget build, I'll spec it around exactly what you need and what you want to spend — then build, test and tune it. You get the right machine at a fair price, without the compromises of an off-the-shelf pre-built.
Yes, depending on the parts and they would have to be fully tested in my shop. Sorry no old memory like DDR, DDR2 or DDR3. Also you can't expect full price as I would need to make money off the parts as well!
If I have ordered a part for you please DO NOT! message me asking if it has showed up yet or if there are any updates. I always inform you when you order it with a rough time on when it will show up and then when it does I will immediately txt/call you when it comes to my door!
I get asked this a lot, and the honest answer is no. Guessing over the phone does you no favours — the same symptom can have a dozen different causes. Every computer goes through a proper diagnostics process at my shop (or with mobile service) so you get a real answer, not a guess. Diagnosing problems is the heart of what I do — if I gave it away for free, I wouldn't be here to fix your computer!
I don't barter on price. My rates are already some of the lowest around because I run a small shop with low overhead — there's no inflated sticker price to talk down. When I quote you, that's the fair price for honest, quality work, and I'd rather be straight with you than play a numbers game.
Cash is always preferred and appreciated — it keeps my costs down, which helps me keep your price low. That said, I also accept Interac e-Transfer, debit and credit cards (Visa/Mastercard) for your convenience. Whatever's easiest for you.
