You are a data packet. Cross the switch lanes, ride the fibre, and get five of you into the server rack before the clock runs out.
Every lane runs a fixed pattern — the same vehicles at the same spacing, driving off one edge and back on the other. Learn the rhythm and any gap is reachable.
You. One cell per press, four directions, no diagonals. Reach the rack five times to clear a stage.
10 points per row gainedTraffic. Haulers, carts, forklifts and courier drones, each lane its own speed and direction. Touch one and the packet is dropped.
Faster every stageOpen fibre drops you, so you have to ride. Blocks carry you along at their own pace — mind the edge of the board while you sit on one.
Ride to the far sideThey carry you too, but they drop offline on a cycle. They fade before they go, so treat a fading one as a warning and move.
Standing on one when it drops is fatalAppears on a data block every so often and rides along with it. Grab it on your way past for a bonus.
200 pointsA green spare rides the fibre about every two minutes and sits there for a quarter of a minute. Catch it and you get a life back — it only shows up when there is room in the tray.
Extra life · 100 points · five lives maximumThree are dropped somewhere on the roads and the safe strips at the start of every trip. Worth going out of your way for.
500 points eachThe bar drains on every trip. Whatever is left when you dock is added to your score, so the slow safe route costs you.
10 points per second remainingEach one changes the board rather than just the speed. Clear all five and the run starts again, quicker.
The standard board. Five switch lanes, a median, five lanes of fibre, and the rack at the top.
The fibre moves to the middle with traffic on both sides of it, and there is no safe strip under the rack.
No roads at all. Ten lanes of moving fibre with one broken island halfway — only three cells of it are solid.
Rack rails split the board into three channels you cannot leave except on the open row halfway. Choose well.
The bays move to the bottom. Cross up empty, take a payload from the queue, carry it all the way back down.
Five for the whole run, shown in the corner under the board, plus one more every 10,000 points. Speed: hard makes the traffic and the fibre quicker without touching your packet.
Dead spots, dropouts and a router that needs restarting twice a week are all fixable. I set up home networks properly, on site in London.
